Gentle / Beginner Yoga

Starting Tuesday 10th January 2012

Time: 8pm – 9pm

This class is for people looking for a gentle stretch and relaxation with an introduction to the different postures.. It will consist of a warm-up, ansanas (postures) and 15min relaxation/meditation. The class will progress depending on the ability of the students.

If you are in one of the following categories, you will love this class:
  • New to Yoga
  • Would like to learn at a relaxed pace
  • Would like to improve their yoga practice

Intermediate/Advanced

Starting Thursday 12th January 2012

Time: 6pm – 7pm

Now that you’ve mastered the beginning stages of yoga, enjoying the rewards it brings to your body, mind and spirit, you¹re ready to take the next step!. This an exciting class designed to bring you to a higher level of expertise. This course introduces the more challenging inverted poses, the foundation of an intermediate practice, while enhancing the familiar poses with more detail. Intermediate/Advanced Yoga includes: Sun Salutation, Inverted Poses, Backbends, Headstands, and Shoulderstands. Students should have a home practice of at least 2/3 days per week to fully participate and learn.


Yoga and Hypnobirthing for Pregnancy

Starting Tuesday 10th January 2012

Time: 7pm – 8pm

Pregnancy Yoga is suitable for women in all stages, who may exercise during pregnancy. The class involves "opening" and posture work for easier movement in pregnancy, stretches and gentle aerobic and anaerobic exercises. There are pelvic floor exercises, breathing and vocalisation. Hypnobirthing is a complete birth education programme, that teaches simple but specific self hypnosis, relaxation and breathing techniques for a better birth. Stress reduction is discussed and mothers are shown labor positions. The class ends with relaxation. The classes are suitable for mid pregnancy and late pregnancy (12 weeks onwards). Yoga & Hypnobirthing is a wonderful way to relax during pregnancy.
